Guest Wi-Fi for a Pikeville shop that should not share the register
Customers on the POS network is how Saturday dies. Separate the guest SSID. Keep the card machine boring.
The chalkboard password problem
If the Wi-Fi on the wall is the same network as the register, every phone in the dining room is a roommate of your card traffic. That is not a vibe. That is a Saturday outage waiting on a software update.
Pikeville lunch rush does not care that the ISP sent a new modem. Guest network, private network, done.
What we actually change
Two names. Two passwords. Printers and POS on the private side. Optional: a cheap access point in the dead corner by the restrooms.
Same pattern for boutiques, gyms, and the shop that added “free Wi-Fi” and then wondered why the back office crawled.
